Musicians refer to the music sections of the wedding ceremony with specific terms. There are descriptions of each below to assist you in knowing what is involved.
Prelude - music played while your guests are arriving and being seated. This is a wonderful place to have favorite pieces played and your choices will reflect your musical tastes and determine the ambiance created: classical, popular, love songs, religious music, etc. will set the mood for your dream wedding.
Processionals - music to accompany the entrance of the bridal party, the groom, the bride, and sometimes family members. We can provide traditional selections or you can choose unique music to further customize your ceremony. It's truly wonderful the variety of music the duo has played for these processionals and the meanings behind them.
Special music - the duo may provide music as background to accompany a candle lighting, sand ceremony, flowers, or other special moment in the service. A meaningful song may also be performed as a musical interlude. Soft harp music beneath the ceremony is another lovely option. Music can be played throughout, during vows and ring exchange only, or throughout except the vows and ring exchange. You will want to consult with your officiate regarding this latter option.
Recessionals - music played while the bridal party processes back down the aisle following the conclusion of the ceremony: the bride and groom, bridal party, parents, and officiate. The music typically begins immediately after the newlywed couple is introduced, after the first kiss, or the breaking of the glass. The duo prefers to coordinate the cue with your minister, justice, rabbi, or other officiate.
Postlude - this is music played after the bridal party has walked back down the aisle. Recessional-type music may continue as your guests are dismissed by row or a change in musical style may occur here.

Nothing compares to the live sound of acoustic instruments for creating an enchanting feast for the ears in much the same way that flowers and a beautiful setting are a feast for the eyes.
